Head to one of two specially created Häagen-Dazs shops or a host of mobile ice cream stations within the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, and enjoy your favourite flavours while this year’s championships are fought for between the players. This year, to celebrate the launch of its new Limited Edition ice cream Raspberries & Meringue, Häagen-Dazs will be hosting a special event in central London. Sets and the City will allow people who can’t get to Wimbledon to keep their eye on the action as matches are broadcast live from Häagen-Dazs’ own ‘centre court’ at Broadgate Arena, near Liverpool Street station. While fans catch up on play, the new Limited Edition flavour – made by pairing zesty raspberry sorbet with sweet and creamy vanilla ice cream and delicious pieces of meringue – will be served along with champagne cocktails. Michelin-starred Chef Heston Blumenthal has used the Limited Edition flavour as the core ingredient in his new, 21st century version of the quintessentially British summertime dessert, Eton Mess, created exclusively for Häagen-Dazs. Heston, who is working in partnership with Häagen-Dazs to heighten people’s passion for ice cream, will be hoping to head to Broadgate Arena during Sets and the City to catch a match or two.
