As long ago as 1924, the Club introduced a public ballot whereby
the majority of Centre, No.1 and No.2 Court tickets
are sold in advance.
The Public Ballot has always been substantially oversubscribed.
Entry into the Ballot does not automatically entitle applicants
to tickets for Wimbledon, but a place in the draw for a pair of tickets.
Successful applicants are selected at random by computer.
It is not possible to request tickets for specific
days or courts, as the day and court offered are also chosen
randomly by a computerised selection process.
Entries for the 2007 Public Ballot closed on 31st December 2006 and successful applications will have been notified by post.
If you have missed the ballot deadline for this year and would like information on visiting The Championships, especially if you are intending to purchase a ticket at the turnstiles on the day of play, you can write to the Ticket Office for a copy of our Guide for Non-Ticket Holders. Please send a self-addressed , stamped envelope.
