Wimbledon remains one of the very few major UK sporting events for which you can still buy premium tickets on the day of play. Approximately 500 tickets daily for each of the Centre (except for the last 4 days), No.1 and No.2 Courts are reserved for sale at the turnstiles.

Roughly 6000 Ground Admission tickets are available each day for entry to the Grounds, including the No.2 Court standing enclosure and unreserved seating and standing on Courts 3–19. This number may vary depending on the number of people already in the grounds, the number of courts in play and the weather.

Joining the queue

There will a single queue for on the day tickets. To join the queue, go to Wimbledon Park (Car Park 10).

Queuing for Show Court tickets
There is an allocation of tickets for Centre Court, No.1 Court, No.2 Court and Ground Admission for sale on the day. Please follow signage and stewards instructions to join the queue for these tickets.

Queueing for Ground Passes
For a ground pass it is usually necessary to join the queue several hours before the grounds open. For a show court ticket many people choose to queue overnight to maximise their chances of being able to purchase a ticket for Centre, No.1 or No.2 Court.

Single Queue at Wimbledon Park
This year the queue will be established in Wimbledon Park (car park 10) - including overnight queuers - and progress through the Wimbledon Park Golf Club, through the search operation, over the bridge and into Gate 3.

Early in the morning (approximately 6am) you will be woken by the Stewards, asked to dismantle camping’ equipment, move cars to the car parks and then close up into tighter formation to create space for those joining the queue on the day.

Left Luggage Facilities
Camping equipment and items exceeding the bag restrictions must be taken to a Left Luggage facility (open 6.30 a.m.) outside the Grounds before passing through the search procedures.

At approximately 7.30am Stewards will issue wristbands to those towards the front of each queue who are queueing for tickets for Centre Court, No.1 Court or Court 2. The number of wristbands issued exactly matches the quantity of tickets available for each court on that day.

Queue Cards and Wristbands
On your arrival at the end of the queue you will be issued with a Queue Card. This card is dated and numbered to show your position in the queue. It must be retained and will be checked on entry to the Grounds.

Wristbands, marked by court and with a detachable 'court' tally will be offered to queuers according to the number of show court tickets available. On reaching the entrance kiosk, the tally must be detached and handed to the cashier who will issue one ticket for the court on the tally.

Mobility Impaired Visitors
There are facilities for mobility impaired visitors to wait nearer the Grounds. Entry to the Grounds will be in Queue Card number order. Please ask any steward for further assistance and to direct you to the end of the nearest queue.

Ground Entry
The turnstiles will open at approximately 9.30am, except for the two finals days, although, with the exception of some catering and shopping outlets, toilets and the bank, most of the Grounds will not be accessible until the scheduled opening time at 10.30am.

Once Ground capacity (36,000) has been reached, in accordance with the Club’s Safety Certificate, queuers will be admitted on a ‘one out, one in’ basis only as spectators finally leave the Grounds.

Toilet Facilities
These are available and open for 24 hours daily in Church Road and Wimbledon Park Road.

Tickets are sold strictly on the basis of one per person and payment is by CASH ONLY.

Ground opening and closing times

The grounds are open daily from 10.30am until one hour after close of play (no later than 10pm).

Non-Ticket Holders will not be admitted after 8pm.

Entry for children and babes in arms

Children five years and over will be charged at the full rate. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Babes in arms will be allowed into the grounds for free, but are not allowed in Centre Court or Courts 1, 2, 3, 13 & 18.

For safety reasons we recommend that no babes in arms/pushchairs are brought into the grounds.

New regulations for luggage

ONE BAG ONLY PER PERSON WILL BE ALLOWED.

This bag must measure no more than 18” x 12" x 12" (45cm x 30cm x 30cm). Further, NO HARD-SIDED ITEMS (e.g. picnic hampers, coolboxes or briefcases) OF ANY SIZE WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE GROUNDS.

There are NO left luggage facilities inside the grounds. Left luggage facilities are provided at a number of locations OUTSIDE the grounds for items exceeding the above criteria and for any other items you do not need during the day.

Code of conduct

During the tournament the Club is under considerable pressure from neighbours and the police to discourage excessive queueing, especially overnight.

In the interests of health and safety, the queue is requested to minimise disruption by, for example, not blocking the pavements (forcing passers-by to walk in the road) or burning barbecues.

The Honorary Stewards operate a 'Code of Conduct' for queues and will arbitrate in any dispute. Your position in the queue cannot be reserved by placing of equipment — you must be present in person. Tickets are sold on a strictly one per person basis.

We wish you to enjoy the Wimbledon queueing experience, please therefore follow these directions:

You are in the queue if you join it at the end and remain in it until you have acquired a ticket at the turnstiles.
You may not reserve a place in the queue for somebody else, other than in their short term absence (e.g. toilet break, purchase of refreshments).
Your position in the queue cannot be reserved by the placing of equipment — you must be present in person and hold a valid, numbered and dated Queue Card. If you have to leave the queue you should ‘negotiate’ your position with those around you and, if possible, with a steward before you leave.
The turnstiles will accept cash only. If necessary, please ask a steward for directions to the nearest ATM (cash point).
Please have regard for our neighbours and others in the queue by adopting reasonable social behaviour at all times.
The All England Club, in accordance with statutory authority, reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone adopting unreasonable social behaviour or who causes obstruction, danger or annoyance, e.g. by the lighting of fires on the highway. The lighting of fires is prohibited in Wimbledon Park.
There are no left luggage facilities inside the Grounds. Camping equipment, oversize bags, picnic hampers or bags not required whilst visiting The Championships must be left in one of the facilities outside the Grounds.
Do not leave bags or other items unattended at any time, they will be removed by the Police.
Queue jumping is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

The Stewards are there to help and guide you, do not hesitate to ask for information. If you are likely to have difficulty negotiating the Church Road bridge please advise a Steward.

Re-sale of tickets

All tickets, excluding those with the word 'Debenture' printed on them instead of the price, are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold, nor advertised for sale, whether on the internet, in newspapers or elsewhere.

If you are unable to use the ticket(s) issued to you please contact (prior to the day of play) the organisation from which you purchased the tickets. In many circumstances, the AELTC, and those bodies to which it issues tickets, are able to operate a flexible returns/refund policy.

DO NOT buy tickets from touts or other unauthorised agents, they will not gain you entry to the grounds.
